Senior Human Resources Business Partner

A fast-paced, consumer-focused organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and employees across its corporate headquarters. This is a highly visible, hands-on position for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and can effectively navigate both strategic people initiatives and day-to-day employee matters.

The HR Business Partner will advise leaders across multiple corporate departments, helping them strengthen their teams, address employee challenges, develop talent, and make thoughtful organizational decisions. This person will have involvement throughout the employee journey and will work closely with the broader HR team to ensure people practices are consistent, effective, and aligned with business needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate comfortably in an environment that moves quickly and continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong partnerships with leaders across corporate departments and serve as a primary HR resource for their teams.
  • Advise managers on employee performance, team dynamics, organizational structure, development opportunities, and workforce needs.
  • Guide leaders through performance conversations, coaching, feedback, development planning, and formal performance improvement processes.
  • Manage employee relations matters from initial assessment through resolution, including workplace concerns, investigations, corrective action, and other sensitive situations.
  • Provide practical and thoughtful guidance around company policies, employment practices, and applicable labor and employment regulations.
  • Partner with leadership to identify key talent, strengthen succession planning, support internal movement, and address organizational capability needs.
  • Help leaders navigate organizational changes, evolving team structures, and shifting business priorities.
  • Support employees throughout key stages of their employment, including onboarding, development, engagement, transitions, and offboarding.
  • Work collaboratively with Recruiting, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, and Legal to ensure employees and managers receive consistent support.
  • Review workforce information and employee trends to identify potential issues and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Support employee engagement, culture, and inclusion initiatives across the corporate organization.
  • Participate in broader HR programs and special projects as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Approximately 8–10 years of progressive HR experience with substantial experience operating in an HR Business Partner capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting corporate client groups and partnering directly with managers and senior-level leadership.
  • Strong background in employee relations, performance management, manager coaching, talent planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR compliance, particularly within California.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to establish credibility across different levels and departments.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with hands‑on HR responsibilities.
  • Experience within a fast‑moving consumer, fashion, retail, e‑commerce, entertainment, or similarly dynamic organization is highly desirable.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the Los Angeles office and one remote day.

The salary range is $120,000–$140,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and additional company perks.

We will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
