Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Human Factors Engineer in Melbourne, FL. You will lead Human Systems Integration activities within an agile team, coordinating with managers, staff, and customers to ensure HF requirements are met. The role emphasizes collaboration, modeling, and documentation in DoD contexts.

The position requires advanced HF expertise, a strong system engineering background, and the ability to sustain a U.S. government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline with 12 years of Human Factors experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience leading a technical team, and participating in SETR events and requirements management.
• Ability to transfer and maintain final U.S. government Secret clearance in-scope or via Continuous Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Human Systems Integration (HSI) activities for the program.
• Staff the HSI team with Section Managers and assign tasks to team members.
• Represent the HSI team at staff, customer, and technical meetings.
• Facilitate cross-IPT discussions to align HSI requirements, design, and implementation.
• Support evaluation of requirements per MIL-STD-1472 and HF best practices.
• Contribute to HF analyses, usability studies, workload and situation awareness surveys.
