Job summary

Northrop Grumman in California seeks a Principal Human Factors Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team on site in Rancho Bernardo, with possible support from El Segundo or Palmdale. You will plan and execute UX evaluations, contribute to MIL-STD-1472 compliance, and lead human factors analyses to improve mission performance.

Collaboration with IPTs and documentation per DoD formats are essential. Applicants must hold a STEM degree with relevant experience and an active Top Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years' related experience, or advanced degree with fewer years.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1472 and human factors surveys/tests.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute UX evaluations to verify requirements.
• Contribute to human factors analyses, usability studies, and workload assessments.
• Author program documentation per DoD formats (HPD, HEP, etc.).
• Collaborate with IPTs to ensure design meets HF requirements.
