Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-level human factors standards and guidelines across programs. You will train teams and support ACE activities with HF requirements, usability, workload analysis, and HITL testing.

The role requires translating HF findings into actionable engineering guidance, performing anthropometric analyses, and collaborating with systems engineers to embed human-centered design across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Human Factors Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Cognitive Systems Engineering, Psychology, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in human factors engineering or human-centered system design, preferably aerospace and familiar with NASA-STD-3001.
• Ability to translate HF findings into actionable engineering guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise Human Factors standards, methods, and guidelines for cross-program use.
• Create training materials to enable consistent adoption of enterprise HF outputs.
• Support ACE program activities with HF requirements, usability, workload, and HITL testing.
• Perform anthropometric analyses and ergonomic evaluations for program design questions.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, design, and operations to integrate human-centered design principles.
