Blue Origin is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to develop enterprise‑level standards and support ACE program activities. You will work with engineers and designers to apply ergonomics, usability, and HITL methods, and contribute to training and tooling that elevate HF across programs.

The role emphasizes documented guidance, cross‑program adoption, and collaboration with systems engineering to advance human‑centered design in aerospace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in a technical discipline (Human Factors, Aerospace, Psychology, or related).
• 5+ years in human factors engineering or human-centered design, preferably in aerospace.
• Foundational knowledge across human factors competencies: ergonomics, safety, task/human error analysis, HSI, systems engineering, HITL testing.
• Ability to translate HF principles into actionable engineering guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-level HF standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Create training materials and enable adoption across programs and units.
• Support AI tools to aid HF processes and principles.
• Serve as HF SME to embedded engineers and designers on ergonomics, usability, workload, and HITL testing.
• Apply HF principles to design evaluations, verification planning, and program activities.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and operations to integrate human-centered design.
