Capital i is seeking an HTM Manager in Portland, ME to lead technicians in advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of biomedical equipment. The role emphasizes strong leadership, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to ensure safety and budgetary targets are met.

The position requires 12+ years in biomedical technology management, PMP/CBET/CHTM credentials, and proven project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree as stated; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as Biomedical Equipment Technician or related field.
  • Experience in project management in healthcare technology management or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and FDA regulations.
  • CBET/CHTM certifications and PMP preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a collaborative environment and promote teamwork and professional development.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure staff and service quality.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical and imaging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust practices accordingly.
  • Mentor and train staff to enhance technical skills.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Communicate with senior management with regular updates on department performance and project status.
  • Prepare and present maintenance and compliance reports.
  • Oversee equipment planning and project management for facility operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments for equipment maintenance integration.
  • Provide training and technical guidance for technicians servicing advanced devices.
  • Plan and execute equipment upgrades, installations, and initiatives.
  • Assist with budget planning and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional teams in medical equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate vendor relations for servicing contracts.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs.
