Job summary

Capital i in Portland, ME, is seeking a Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Manager to lead technicians and oversee advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment. This senior role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a track record of managing projects and budgets.

The ideal candidate holds a Biomedical Engineering-related degree with 12+ years in HTM or medical devices, PMP/CBET/CHTM preferred, and excellent cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or related field.
• Proven project management experience in healthcare technology management or medical devices.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and FDA regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Certification in healthcare technology management (CBET/CHTM) preferred; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a collaborative work environment and promote staff development.
• Implement and monitor performance metrics for staff and service quality.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical and imaging equipment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across maintenance activities.
• Mentor staff and enhance technical skills through training.
• Manage projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Prepare reports on maintenance, compliance, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless equipment integration.
