Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr HSSE Project Execution Associate to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction, development, and operations sites in the region. This exempt, full-time role emphasizes adherence to HSSE programs and regulatory requirements.

You will lead investigations, track metrics, coordinate contractor HSSE performance, and train teams while traveling domestically over half the time to sites implementing wind, solar, and battery projects.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Construction Safety, and/or Environmental Science required.
• Professional certification preferred.
• 6+ years HSSE experience; degree may be substituted with experience.
• 3+ years HSSE in wind/solar/battery operations or similar.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA and Labor standards; safety platforms experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes health and safety of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Drives continuous HSSE improvements across operations and projects.
• Coordinates collection and accuracy of contractor man-hours.
• Travels domestically >50% to facilities and projects.
• Conducts investigations and submits reports to HSSE systems.
• Develops corrective actions with Operations, Project Execution, and Engineering.
• Maintains HSSE metrics and OSHA 300 reports.
• Performs audits and assessments of wind/solar/battery operations.
• Leads HSSE program implementation across sites.
• Delivers HSSE training (lockout/tagout, confined space, working at heights).
• Participates in cross-functional meetings.
