Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr HSSE Operations & Project Execution Associate in California. The role supports HSSE management across projects, with frequent travel and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and safety excellence.

You will lead investigations, report HSSE metrics, and train teams on critical safety topics, while working within a dynamic, field-focused environment.

Qualifications

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Construction Safety, and/or Environmental Science, or a related field is required
• Professional certifications preferred
• Minimum 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable; other factors will be considered
• Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in power generation/related facilities (Wind/Solar/Battery)
• Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA, state regulations, and labor standards
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety platforms

Responsibilities

• Promotes health and safety for employees, contractors, and subcontractors on facilities and projects
• Drives continuous HSSE improvement across operations and project execution
• Travel >50% of time; manage field activities and reporting
• Conducts investigations and submits reports to HSSE systems
• Collaborates with Operations, Project Execution, and Engineering on corrective actions
• Monitors HSSE metrics and injury reports; maintains records in automated systems
• Performs wind/solar/battery operations audits and technical assessments
• Leads HSSE program implementation across sites within region/technology
• Delivers HSSE training on lockout/tagout, confined space, heights, and hazard comms
• Participates in cross-functional meetings across Operations, Project Development, and Engineering
