Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Gurabo, PR seeks a Sr. Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to lead HSSE management systems at client sites, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. You will advise on HSSE issues, manage training, and coordinate incident investigations with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8+ years in HSSE, knowledge of safety regulations, and ability to travel up to 20%. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or related subjects.
• Broad based knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety regulations.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience working with HSSE compliance and management systems, preferably within facility operations.
• Experience working with subcontractors/vendors to support safety objectives.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Spanish and English a plus.
• Basic computer skills with word processing and database applications.
• Ability to drive and inspect both outdoor and indoor areas for compliance.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support the development and implementation of HSSE management systems at client sites.
• Collaborate with internal HSSE teams to set performance goals and review progress.
• Track and report HSSE metrics and ensure plans to meet KPIs.
• Lead HSSE committees suited to site needs.
• Evaluate hazards related to safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Coordinate HSSE training requirements and client training.
• Maintain required records per regulatory and client requirements.
• Ensure HSSE policies and procedures are developed, updated, and followed.
• Lead accident investigations and drive corrective actions with site teams.
