Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking an HSE Specialist II for the Transportation Division in Richmond, IN. The role coordinates and implements health, safety and environmental processes across project locations and provides guidance to project teams to improve EHS performance.

Responsibilities include conducting EHS assessments, training personnel, coordinating subcontractor EHS programs, investigating incidents and administering the Drug-Free Workplace Policy. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• CHST certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 hour preferred; First Aid/CPR AED preferred.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Periodically conducts comprehensive EHS assessments and recommends corrective measures.
• Provides training and education to personnel on EHS requirements.
• Coordinates project EHS programs with subcontractors and manages risk.
• Conducts accident investigations and incident reporting.
• Establishes hospital and clinical care facilities for each project.
• Implements Industrial Hygiene protocols and environmental monitoring.
• Administers the Drug-Free Workplace Policy and testing.
• Facilitates project employee orientation on EHS practices.
• Provides weekly safety updates to EHS leadership.
• Administers corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.

Education

High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

OSHA30 hour preferred

First Aid, CPR AED preferred
