Job summary

Alphagary in Leominster, MA, seeks an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety & Environmental programs, maintain ISRS registration, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and corporate guidelines. This role oversees safety operations and environmental performance at the site.

You will develop training, perform risk assessments, manage incidents, and drive continuous safety improvements while coordinating with site leadership and all departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OS, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• CSP certification preferred; up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations.
• 3+ years of manufacturing EHS experience.
• 4+ years in a leading advisory HSE role desirable.
• Proven track record managing HSE programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Project, time, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and internal safety policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigate risks; implement corrective actions.
• Respond to accidents/incidents; investigate root causes and report through workers’ compensation.
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees at all levels.
• Ensure environmental regulations and permits compliance; maintain EMS.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Maintain records related to safety incidents, training, inspections, and environmental compliance.
• Communicate safety and environmental performance to management and employees; report EHS metrics.
