Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC is seeking an HSE Manager for our Richmond, VA site. The role leads all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and PSM standards, and coordinating with corporate and site teams to sustain a safe, compliant operation.

Responsibilities include overseeing IMS, MOC, environmental permits, and training, while fostering a proactive safety culture and managing KPIs across the facility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as an HSE professional.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship builder with regulators and corporate counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Chair PSM committee and coordinate actions to maintain compliance with the standard.
• Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process for matters outside of quality.
• Coordinate PHA revalidations and track actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses; drive CAPA and report through appropriate channels.
• Ensure Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is robust and maintained.
• Partner with local hazardous materials (HAZMAT) response agencies and fire departments.
• Act as IMS site owner; translate directives into actionable procedures and gap analyses.
• Manage environmental permits and regulatory compliance (air emissions, wastewater, etc.).
• Lead audits/inspections and draft responses for HSE agencies.
