Job summary

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in HSE, 5+ years in leadership, and a track record with high-risk field operations; travel ~50% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, EH&S, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive health, safety and environmental experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing HSE professionals.
• Travel up to 50% to Vortex Services locations and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all HSE programs supporting field operations across multiple locations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, standards, and practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and local regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report insights to leadership.
• Direct field safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Mentor regional safety managers and field safety professionals.
