Job summary

Verdun Oil Company in Houston, TX is seeking a senior HSE specialist to manage OSHA compliance, incident investigations, and HS&E data integrity. You will own root-cause analyses, lead investigations with operations, and coordinate regulatory reporting with Texas agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field preferred.
• 10 years of experience in oil and gas or similar industrial industry.
• Minimum of 5 years leading HS&E roles in oil and gas.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301 including recordability decisions and annual summaries.
• Serve as point of contact for OSHA and for events requiring reporting to Texas regulators.
• Track regulatory changes affecting upstream operations and advise leadership.
• Own corrective action process and verify effectiveness before close.
• Own ISNetworld data accuracy, policies, and client requests for information.
• Set HSE expectations with contractors and verify training.
• Lead investigations and train field supervisors as leads.
• Deliver or coordinate HSE training curriculum and field visits to verify systems work in practice.
