Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
OSHA training and/or OSHA-related certifications are preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Spend approximately 60% on the shop floor, observing operations and engaging with employees.
Promote compliance with HSE requirements and OSHA standards.
Identify unsafe conditions and collaborate with operations to implement corrective actions.
Build positive relationships with employees and supervisors while enforcing safety rules.
Influence safe behaviors by explaining purpose and importance of HSE requirements.
Conduct workplace inspections, observations, audits, and follow-up activities.
Support incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
