Job summary

National Student Clearinghouse is seeking a Senior Specialist of HRMS & Payroll. The role administers HRMS, payroll, time and attendance, data accuracy and reporting, and compliance in a remote-first environment. Candidates must reside near Herndon, VA for potential on-site needs.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and vendors to optimize processes, implement system enhancements, and ensure data integrity across the workforce lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 6+ years HRMS/payroll systems experience.
• Experience with UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
• Multi-state payroll knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• HRMS Administration and Support: act as primary administrator for HRMS and related systems including payroll, time and attendance, recognition, retirement, and benefits.
• Payroll Administration and Operations: oversee payroll processing, third‑party provider coordination, audits, and year/quarterly activities.
• Time and Attendance: manage time capture, scheduling, attendance, leave, and related configurations.
• Data Management and Reports: maintain employee data, ensure data integrity, develop reports and dashboards for HR/Finance.
• Compliance Reporting and Support: maintain notices, filings, audits, and state/federal compliance.
• Workers Compensation Administration: liaison with insurers, manage audits and claims.
• Process Improvement & Training Support: drive automation, document procedures, and provide user training.
