Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago seeks an HRIS Manager to serve as the firm’s subject matter expert for HR technology, including UKG, viDesktop, and PolicyTech. The role combines hands-on administration with strategic oversight of data integrity, reporting, and system enhancements.

You will work with HR, Payroll, and IT to maintain, test, upgrade, and implement modules, ensuring accurate data flows, secure access, and timely delivery of analytics to support human resources decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of HRIS administration experience in a professional services environment required.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with HRIS based project management and systems implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of HR systems, including UKG, ViDesktop, PolicyTech; testing, configuration updates and troubleshooting.
• Provide support to HR and end users, perform maintenance, and recommend solutions to improve efficiencies.
• Write, maintain and run reports and queries with high accuracy.
• Develop data integrity protocols between HR, Accounting, Finance and other internal departments.
• Design and develop communication strategies for system integrations and updates.
• Maintain HR and payroll data integrity through queries and audits.
• Identify gaps and develop documentation to automate processes.
• Serve as liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Act as technical point-of-contact for HRIS modules and data flows for improvement.
• Maintain SOPs for HRIS workflows and processes.
• Support UKG upgrades, patches, testing enhancements, and performance management.
