We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior HRIS Manager to join our People Technology team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our Workday system. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting, configuring Workday modules, and providing exceptional support to end-users. You will play a key role in system upgrades, enhancements, and the implementation of new features while aligning technical solutions with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert for Workday modules: Compensation & Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence Management in addition to being able to support Talent & Performance, Peakon, Learning and Core HCM as needed.
- As a Workday expert, provide support to Workday end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues and problem areas
- Evaluate application effectiveness and recommend application design and configuration changes to meet changing business needs.
- Lead change management to ensure new processes/technology land well with employees and the People team
- Turn business requirements into technical requirements and proposed Workday solutions while treating every challenge as an opportunity for improvement and efficiency
- Evaluate and drive deployment of feature releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday, ensuring HR and business requirements are met (serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities)
- Provide comprehensive production support, including triaging tickets and troubleshooting system issues.
- Participate in Phase X implementations, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to existing business processes.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and streamline HR processes.
- Offer training and support to HR staff on system use, best practices, and new features.
- Prepare end-user documentation and training materials as needed.
- Stay aware of changes in HR technology and make recommendations for enhancements.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years experience in Workday HCMspecifically in the areas of Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking & Absence Management.
- Proven experience working on Phase X system implementations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Excellent writing skills for generating clear, concise release notes and documentation
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with business acumen needed to proactively solve problems facing the organization
- Experience in requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, design, test case creation preferably in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style
- Ability to manage change effectively always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications
- Ability to identify and tackle problems proactively, research and present multiple solutions to problems.
