Job summary

The Senior HRIS Analyst at Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) manages and optimizes the HCM system across SMSC and Tribal Operations. It includes system maintenance, data integrity, and delivering strong support while implementing upgrades and enhancements aligned with business needs.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deploy new features, analyze system performance, and drive improvements to HR reporting, analytics, and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, IS, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of HRIS/HR operations experience
• Experience with UKG HRIS including maintenance and reporting
• Strong HR data, reporting, and Tableau dashboard skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HRIS expert, owning enhancements, configurations, and ongoing optimization of HR systems, data integrity and compliance
• Manage day-to-day HRIS operations, including user access, system maintenance, and issue resolution
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports communicating workforce trends (headcount, turnover, hiring)
• Establish and maintain HRIS governance standards, including security roles and data quality
• Maintain organizational data structures and implement changes when needed
• Evolve HR reports and analytics toward predictive insights
• Develop ways to improve user experience in the HRIS
• Collaborate with Tribal Operations leaders to translate challenges into scalable solutions
• Coordinate with HRIS team on configuration, release readiness, and enhancements
• Create and maintain process documentation
• Investigate, analyze, test, and resolve issues while supporting users
• Support education on HCM features and annual cycles
• Maintain confidentiality of team member data
