Job summary

Marion County is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to join our HR Team. This role focuses on Oracle, HR system conversions, data analytics, and robust reporting to inform decision-making.

You will be the HRIS superuser and lead HRIS initiatives, developing complex reports with Excel, Power Query, and Power BI, and collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT to implement upgrades and process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with significant coursework in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Five years of responsible experience working with human resource information systems and complex databases in a networked environment, including one year in a lead work capacity.
• Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the superuser for the HRIS; full working knowledge of the HRIS system.
• Serve as a consultant and expert for the organization regarding HR reporting, analytics, and technical aspects of HR systems.
• Enter and maintain employee data systems; audit Personnel Actions for accuracy and alignment with rules and contracts.
• Participate in HRIS upgrades and reimplementation; develop training material for end users.
• Act as a primary resource for department representatives and managers on personnel rules and county policies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Benefits, Risk, and HR to optimize HRIS workflows and testing.
• Build complex HR reports using Excel and Power Query; create instructional documents and infographics.
• Perform research analysis; write reports and present information to groups using various programs.
• Facilitate training for department representatives; coordinate with IT to resolve HR system issues.
• Coordinate and communicate with IT staff to resolve HR system issues.
• Work with HR team on HR processes and practices.
