One of our established downtown Houston energy sector clients is seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Analyst to join their team in a highly visible position supporting HR technology, workforce planning, payroll operations, and business process optimization. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and executive leadership while serving as one of the key Workday subject matter experts.
This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background supporting HR systems from the HR/business side of the platform, combined with expertise in Workday administration, reporting, analytics, and process improvement. Experience supporting or implementing HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, ATS, Scheduling, and Workforce Planning solutions is highly preferred.
- Base salary up to $130,000 (some potential flexibility for exceptional candidates)

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary functional expert for Workday Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Scheduling, Advanced Compensation, and Adaptive Planning.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, and organizational structures.
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable workforce insights to business leaders.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Finance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Lead and support workforce planning, headcount forecasting, budgeting, and reporting initiatives through Adaptive Planning.
- Ensure accurate flow of workforce, payroll, scheduling, and financial data across systems.
- Support annual compensation cycles, benefits enrollment activities, Workday releases, and system enhancement projects.
- Perform testing, data validation, audits, troubleshooting, and change management activities to maintain data integrity and system performance.
- Create and maintain documentation, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HRIS experience with strong Workday expertise.

- Strong HRIS reporting, data analytics, and dashboard development experience.
- Experience supporting Workday projects from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Thorough understanding of HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Workforce Planning, and Talent processes.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with stakeholders across HR and Finance.
- Experience supporting complex or multi-location organizations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday Security, EIBs, integrations, and data governance is a plus.
- Workday certifications are preferred but not required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
