Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HRIS professional to lead Time & Attendance and Absence Management configurations and integrations. You will act as the HRIS SME, partner with stakeholders, and drive end-to-end UKG implementations for a large, multi-state, union environment.

You will own data validation, testing, UAT, and post go-live support, while coordinating with HR, Payroll, Legal, and external partners to ensure compliance and optimal system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, information systems, business, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5+ years HRIS experience focused on Time & Attendance/Absence Management.
• Hands-on UKG experience in multi-state and union environments for 1,000+ employees.
• Experience implementing HRIS in a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of timekeeping, absence and leave compliance (FMLA, state leave programs).
• Proven ability to partner with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to build and interpret reports/dashboards using UKG Pro Reporting, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Restricted to U.S. citizens due to government contract regulations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with an external Project Manager to support end-to-end UKG Time & Attendance implementation.

• Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, testing, data validation, and UAT.
• Support change management activities, including documentation, training materials, and end-user readiness.
• Serve as the primary system owner for UKG Time & Attendance post go-live, including configuration and issue resolution.
• Manage system audits, feature deployments, testing cycles, and upgrades for data integrity and performance.
• Administer and maintain U.S. absence and leave plans in Workday, including configuration changes and compliance updates.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, and external vendors to align with policies, CBAs, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex time, absence, and leave issues with root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Travel up to 25% during the implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of HRIS experience with a strong focus on Time & Attendance and/or Absence Management
• Hands-on experience with UKG in a multi-state and union environment for 1,000+ employees is preferred
• Experience supporting system implementations in a matrixed organization
• Strong understanding of timekeeping, absence, and leave compliance (e.g., FMLA, state leave programs)
• Proven ability to partner effectively with external consultants and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret reports and dashboards using UKG Pro Reporting, Excel, and data visualization tools
• Ability to manage competing priorities across project and operational workstreams
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. government contract regulations
