Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate, HRBP in the Retail Bank HRBP team to collaborate with Channels and Operations leaders. You will deliver on people initiatives, support VP and Senior Director level leaders, and partner with Recruiting, Compensation, L&D, and Associate Relations to execute HR imperatives.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, influencing, communication, and problem solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of human resources experience.
• At least 3 years of client facing or consulting experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in project or process management.
• Master’s Degree and HR or PM certifications are preferred.
• Experience in HRBP role including performance/talent management, recruiting, compensation, or learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement talent strategies to support the organization's goals.
• Build effective working relationships with business leaders and understand business imperatives.
• Collaborate with HR partner teams to execute HR imperatives and talent strategies.
• Execute cyclical HR processes including performance and talent management and surveys.
• Work with leaders on day-to-day HR issues and problem solving.
• Leverage people data to inform talent strategy and insights.
• Coach leaders on leadership, organizational design, and talent management.
• Contribute to priority initiatives across Retail Bank.
