Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in federal HR classification or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of OPM classification standards and HR policies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex classification reviews and organizational assessments.
• Brief executives, managers, and union officials on classification issues.
• Determine methods and classification approaches for difficult or cross-functional positions.
• Lead meetings on new recruiting tools and program improvements.
• Provide expert recommendations for workforce structure, succession planning, and position management challenges.
• Identify classification issues and resolve problems where answers are not readily apparent.
• Maintain subject matter files and agency guidance documentation.
• Conduct organizational program audits to identify position management needs.
