Job summary

Valdes Architecture & Engineering is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to support the day-to-day HR needs of our growing organization. This position provides hands-on support across benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, performance management, recruiting support, and HR programs.

The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and comfortable handling confidential information while working with employees and leadership at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience required.
• Experience across benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, talent acquisition, and general HR administration.
• Experience with benefit administration, plan designs, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in professional services engineering/architecture/consulting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs and respond to benefit questions.
• Maintain knowledge of benefit plan designs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidential employee records with professionalism and discretion.
• Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and references.
• Support compensation administration and annual performance reviews.
