Job summary

Valdes Architecture & Engineering is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to support the day-to-day HR needs of our growing organization. This position will provide hands-on support across benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, performance management, recruiting support, employee communications, and HR programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, communications or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years HR experience.
• Experience across benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, talent acquisition and general HR administration.
• Experience with benefit administration, plan designs and regulations.
• Experience in professional services engineering/architecture is preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certification is a plus.
• Must be able to provide front desk coverage one day per week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs.
• Maintain knowledge of benefit plan designs and regulations.
• Maintain confidential employee information and records.
• Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and references.
• Support compensation administration and annual performance reviews.
• Assist with organizational development initiatives and HR programs.
• Support employee relations matters and events.
