SUMMARY:
The Senior HR Specialist at VoidForm provides specialized expertise in one or more human resources functional areas including, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, unemployment, and other regulatory programs. In addition to being a subject matter expert in these areas, this position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources in performing standard office functions to include onboarding, orientation, training, recruitment, preparing correspondence, employee engagement, and other HR related tasks and assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs the following responsibilities in accordance with VoidForm policies and procedures, work rules, expectations, and behavior standards:
- Facilitates the orientation process by onboarding new employees, setting up accounts, performing background checks, and various tasks for onboarding. Also performs various offboarding duties and tasks.
- Recommends personnel actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Analyzes proposed changes in methods, policies, and procedures. Compiles diverse or complex data and prepares complex reports for the department.
- Effectively translates and communicates verbally and in writing with Spanish-speaking employees and candidates, ensuring clear understanding and fosters inclusive communication across VoidForm.
- Supports the organization in various human resources functions for all current locations and future locations (Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Mississippi, and Canada).
- Oversees the creation, monitoring, and reporting of FMLA, ADA, unemployment and workers' compensation claims for the organization. Exercises discretion and professionalism when working with various claims and accommodation requests. Stays informed of changes in regulatory practices and laws and recommends appropriate changes to organizational policy.
- Prepares, reviews, evaluates, develops, and implements practices, policies, and procedures that contribute to a respectful, diverse, and performance-focused organizational culture.
- Prepares and presents training for leadership and employees. Assists in facilitating the VoidForm training plan for employees and leaders.
- Collaborates with the Director of HR to develop and update human resource systems to make them more efficient. Recommends changes when necessary and reports any issues immediately.
- Assists in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities; communicates special events to employees and oversees the implementation of the VoidForm Yearly Calendar.
- Supports the department by performing various tasks in the human resource information system (Paylocity) and other HR software and programs; audits files and folders for missing and outdated information.
- Supports the department with the creation or management of job descriptions, flyers, and HR forms as needed.
- Prepares surveys to solicit feedback from employees. Presents data to the Director of HR for consideration and implementation of new programs, policies, or processes.
- Supports the organization by recruiting, prescreening, and coordinating interviews. Works closely with hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Administers and ensures compliance with state/federal regulations including wage and hour laws and EEO guidelines.
- Stays abreast of existing and new legislation and audits current policies and practices for review with the Director of HR.
- Works closely with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist and serves as an alternate for processing weekly payroll transactions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing business or HR-related publications, establishing industry networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on experience, skills, and business needs.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Human Resources, Business, Finance, etc.)
- Required: Minimum of 3 years experience in an HR role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Required: Bilingual, English & Spanish speaking and writing.
- Preferred: SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll and HR software (Paylocity).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and potential issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions; comply with VoidForm's behavior standards and values.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to meet objectives.
