Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake seeks an experienced Director of HR Services to lead employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and training across the organization from its Halethorpe headquarters. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with direct employee relations and benefits administration experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
• 10 years of equivalent HR experience may be considered in lieu of degree/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Benefits Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist, and Training Specialist; provide performance guidance and development.
• Escalate and manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Oversee benefits administration and leave programs (FMLA, ADA accommodations, etc.).
• Support open enrollment, carrier issue resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver leadership, supervisory, onboarding, and retail training programs.
• Coach managers on performance management, attendance, and policy administration.
