Job summary

Rakuten International, part of Rakuten Group, seeks a Sr. HR Business Process Optimization Specialist to partner with HR functions to optimize processes across regions. This advisory role emphasizes design, governance, and sustainable improvements rather than day-to-day execution.

You will help create controls, documentation, and SOPs, and enable HR teams to sustain improvements independently across a multi-country organization.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in process improvement or internal consulting within HR.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification required (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred).
• Ability to lead process improvement engagements end-to-end without owning day-to-day execution.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to guide stakeholders through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR teams to assess current-state processes and identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to diagnose root causes and design future-state solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and guide teams through problem definition, process mapping, and solution design.
• Develop roadmaps and support implementation while transferring ownership to HR teams.
