Baxter International Inc. is seeking an experienced HR professional to serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees in Puerto Rico.

The role focuses on employee relations, policy compliance, labor laws, and workforce analytics to drive improvements and people outcomes. Responsibilities include investigations, performance management coordination, talent reviews, and compensation guidance, with a focus on governance, confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related discipline preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience including: Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Performance Management, HR Analytics, and HR program implementations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and interpreting employment laws; advise managers on workforce issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution and risk mitigation.
• Partner with managers on attendance, performance, disciplinary actions, and separations while ensuring policy compliance.
• Analyze HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, retention, cases, engagement) to identify trends.
• Develop, implement, and monitor action plans with leaders to address workforce challenges.
• Coordinate performance management processes including goal setting and reviews.
• Support talent review and succession planning by identifying risks and development needs.
• Conduct job evaluations and advise on compensation adjustments and organizational changes.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and regulatory compliance in PR and federal law.
• Lead HR projects and improvements with data-driven decisions and stakeholder collaboration.
• Manage departmental budgets and expenditures within HR accounts.
• Provide administrative support to HR and perform other duties as assigned.
