Job summary

The City of Laramie is seeking an HR Manager to serve as the department’s senior leader, supervising two HR professionals and overseeing employee relations, recruitment and staffing, training and development, performance management, and day-to-day HR service delivery.

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership across HR functions, address staffing gaps, and ensure compliant HR practices. Salary ranges from $80,293 to $120,161 annually, DOQ/E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, organizational management, or a closely related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible professional HR experience across multiple disciplines (employee relations, recruitment, policy administration, benefits, compensation/classification, or HR operations).
• Experience providing work direction, project leadership, or staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of two HR professionals and leadership of a full range of HR services.
• Oversee employee relations, recruitment and staffing, training and development, performance management, and day-to-day HR service delivery.
• Stabilize a short-staffed department and build a cohesive HR team.
