Job summary

Capital Hospice & Palliative Care LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, orientation, training, compliance, employee relations, and HR policy implementation. This position works closely with the Executive Director/Administrator and management team to support a strong, compliant, and positive workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
• At least 2 years in employee recruitment and training.
• Knowledge of CHAP requirements and state/federal employment regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with confidentiality and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily HR operations and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, CHAP requirements for HR functions.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, retention, and separations.
• Partner with management to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategies.
• Monitor recruitment effectiveness and costs.
• Research compensation trends and make recommendations to leadership.
• Support competitive salary and benefits structures.
• Promote the organization as an employer of choice in the community.
• Assist with HR budget and resource management, within guidelines.
• Coordinate community recruitment events and employee education programs.
• Develop and coordinate employee orientation, training, and continuing education.
• Recruit, supervise, and mentor HR team members as needed.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR resources.
