Job summary

Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources to oversee recruitment, benefits, training, associate relations, safety and compliance. The role includes supervising HR staff, guiding leadership, and implementing development programs to support Omni's standards and Six Pillar philosophy.

You will develop responses to employment litigation, manage onboarding and terminations, and ensure proper documentation and compliance across the property.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
• Must have significant employee relations experience at a decision-making level, including investigations, coaching and counseling, and handling grievances.
• Solid experience in employee relations, benefits, training, safety, liability avoidance and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor and motivate associates and managers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train hourly and management HR team members.
• Provide counsel to the Director of HR on Omni policy, culture and leadership.
• Implement training and development programs; recommend new programs based on need.
• Conduct investigations and assist in employment status decisions.
• Assist in responding to employment litigation from Federal and State offices.
• Fulfill responsibilities of the Director of HR in their absence, communicating with leadership as needed.
• Provide guidance to department heads on employee relations issues and ensure compliance with laws.
• Develop and maintain a succession plan for all departments.
• Ensure benefits programs are implemented according to standards.
• Oversee onboarding, terminations, and records in compliance with Omni standards.
• Maintain audits and SOPs for Associate Services and HR assessments.
• Lead associate engagement surveys and action plans to advance hotel performance.
• Ensure training programs are implemented successfully and compliance with required trainings.
