Job summary

Charter Communications, operating under the Spectrum brand, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist in Baton Rouge to administer policies and programs balancing employee advocacy with business needs. You will ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and provide HR support across recruitment, retention, performance coaching, problem-solving and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and practices; wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR issues and employment law.
• Develop programs and initiatives to meet team needs.
• Coordinate solutions with senior HR teammates and implement plans for long-term HR needs.
• Conduct complex employee investigations and manage workers' comp reporting and safety processes.
• Oversee leave of absence programs, accommodations, and benefits open enrollment.
• Ensure accurate HRIS and payroll entries and maintain employee records.
