Job summary

Hudbay, the operator of the Copper World project near Sahuarita, Arizona, seeks an experienced Senior HR Generalist to manage site HR activities. You will advise site leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive employee relations for a fast-paced mining project.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HR experience in mine/construction/manufacturing environments, HRIS proficiency, and strong investigation and dispute-resolution skills, with a Bachelor's degree in HR-related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
• Five+ years of HR experience at a mine, construction, or manufacturing site or similar operation.
• Demonstrated understanding across HR disciplines in mining/construction/manufacturing sites.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Strong knowledge of EEO and labor compliance laws and policies.
• Exceptional dispute resolution and investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer all site-related HR responsibilities and ensure alignment with broader initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Director of HR to localize and rollout policies and site objectives.
• Liaise on recruiting and staffing to scale the workforce.
• Maintain site HR files and records per legal and policy standards.
• Manage conflict resolution and conduct thorough investigations; advise on disciplinary actions.
• Support shifting operational needs in a fast-paced project environment.
