Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Senior HR Generalist - Labor Relations to support a busy unionized manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI. This hands-on role requires strong labor and employee relations, investigations, grievance handling, and HR compliance experience.

You will partner with site leadership and union representatives, manage CBAs, handle investigations, and drive staffing, engagement, and training efforts while ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and wage/hour rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• At least 3 years supporting a unionized manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong experience in labor relations, investigations, grievances, and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and employment law.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the facility, supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
• Interpret and administer the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and assist with grievances and labor-management issues.
• Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, attendance, and workplace conflicts.
• Conduct thorough and confidential investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, labor laws, policies, and effective employee communication.
• Support onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, separations, HRIS administration, and employee records.
• Partner with leadership on staffing, workforce planning, employee engagement, retention, and training.
• Support compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, workers' compensation, and wage and hour requirements.
• Participate in labor-management meetings and provide support for negotiations, arbitrations, and other labor-related matters.
• Track HR metrics and identify trends involving turnover, absenteeism, employee relations, and workforce needs.
