Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Senior HR Generalist / Employee Relations Specialist to build a fair, high-performing workplace as we scale. You will handle employee relations matters, investigations, and policy interpretation while partnering with Legal and People leadership to reduce risk.

Based onsite in Torrance, CA with relocation to Long Beach, CA, you will design processes, improve documentation, and support compliance across multi-state populations, leveraging Jira and Power BI for insights.

Qualifications

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Experience independently managing employee relations matters and investigations with sound judgment.
• Experience applying California employment practices and workplace compliance requirements.
• Experience partnering with Legal on employee relations, investigations, or compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for managers and employees regarding employee relations concerns and policy interpretation.
• Conduct Tier 1 and 2 intake, investigations, fact-finding, documentation, and resolution recommendations.
• Collaborate with People leadership and Legal on complex, high-risk employee relations matters.
• Design, implement, and improve employee relations systems, workflows, and escalation frameworks.
