Job summary

Lynden Door in Lynden, WA seeks a Senior HR Generalist to join our HR team. You'll work closely with the HR Manager to support policy, compliance, benefits, and employee relations in a caring, family-friendly environment. Typical hours are 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with some flexibility.

This role emphasizes partnership across departments, HRIS optimization, and training for supervisors. A Bachelor's in HR or related field, or 4+ years HR experience, plus knowledge of employment law, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or 4+ years of HR experience.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred, or willingness to pursue.
• Spanish-speaking preferred, not required.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR Manager and leadership to prioritize and execute initiatives that build a cohesive, caring workplace.
• Research and apply employment law to maintain compliant policy, with written analysis and risk recommendations.
• Help maintain the employee guidebook and coordinate HR communications with staff.
• Provide day-to-day direction to HR Generalist, HR Specialist, and Administrative Assistant team members.
• Educate employees on company policies and build and deliver training for supervisors and managers with Employee Development.
• Serve as a trusted HR business partner — fielding inquiries, concerns, and complaints with consistency and fairness.
• Collaborate across departments to strengthen communication and HRIS systems.
