Job summary

University Support Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Specialist to foster a positive workplace culture, provide guidance on employee relations, and drive engagement and wellness programs across the organization. This role partners with HR COEs, supports managers, maintains HR communications and portal content, and supports engagement surveys and action planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, with 3–5 years in Employee Relations.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in higher education or healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience supporting an international/shared service organization is a plus.
• Experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.
• Experience using AI to enhance HR programs, processes, and communication.
• SharePoint and Microsoft 365 experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager questions regarding HR policies and workplace concerns.
• Provide guidance on routine employee relations matters and escalate complex issues to HR partners.
• Support documentation, case tracking, and follow-up activities as needed.
• Help ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices.
• Design and administer engagement and wellness programs, and support culture initiatives.
• Coach managers on performance conversations, development, and workplace communication.
• Partner with leadership to craft employee-facing communications and portal content.
• Collaborate with HR COEs and business leaders to implement programs and improve experiences.
