Job summary

Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a Human Resources Director to plan, direct, and evaluate the tribe's HR programs. You will lead employment services, benefits, training, compensation, and employee relations while ensuring regulatory compliance and strategic workforce planning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with tribal leadership, data-driven decision making, and developing a high-performing HR team to support the Pueblo’s mission and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
• 10+ years progressively responsible HR experience in a large complex organization.
• Five (5) years supervisory experience.
• MBA preferred as a qualification when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs Pueblo’s human resources program including employment services, benefits, training and development.
• Develops and implements HR policies, procedures and processes aligned with regulations.
• Oversees budget, recruitment, and workforce planning to attract and retain talent.
• Maintains HR records and ensures compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
• Fosters an engaging, inclusive work environment and leads by example.
