Job summary

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a collaborative HR Consultant/Staff Recruiter to join the MURR Human Resources team. This role serves as the HR consultant and recruiter for staff recruitment across MURR, delivering full-cycle recruitment and HR guidance.

You will partner with hiring managers, HR Partners, and the Recruitment Center of Expertise to develop recruitment strategies, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and ensure compliant, efficient hiring while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in recruitment or HR consulting.
• Experience recruiting within nuclear environments or large, complex organizations is preferred.
• Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary recruiter for assigned MURR staff positions.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR Partners to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies.
• Provide guidance on recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, interviewing, and selection processes.
• Consult with hiring managers regarding market conditions, recruitment timelines, and hiring challenges.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from position intake through onboarding coordination.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through networking and recruitment channels.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill positions.
• Ensure recruitment activities comply with university policies and employment laws.
