The Senior HR Case Investigator at Huntington Bank independently leads complex, sensitive workplace investigations involving misconduct, policy violations, retaliation, discrimination, and leadership conduct. You will define scope, interview with credibility assessments, and produce well-supported findings while advising HR and Legal partners.

You will work with Employee Relations leadership and other stakeholders to improve investigation quality, standards, and templates, maintaining discretion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Business, Human Resources, or related field).
• 5+ years of Employee Relations, Compliance, Ethics, Legal or investigative experience.
• Experience leading complex workplace investigations independently.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and investigation principles.
• Ability to influence and communicate with HR, legal partners, and senior leaders.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with change.
• Detail-oriented, especially in documenting investigations and resolutions.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience in Retail and/or Financial Services environments is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Independently lead complex, high-risk, multi-party workplace investigations from intake through conclusion.
• Determine appropriate scope, allegations, witnesses, evidence, and strategy based on case.
• Conduct interviews involving sensitive allegations and senior leaders.
• Analyze extensive or conflicting documentary, electronic, and testimonial evidence.
• Conduct structured credibility and corroboration assessments and document the basis for conclusions.
• Produce concise, defensible investigation reports with findings and rationale.
• Identify potential legal, regulatory, reputational, or broader risks and elevate appropriately.
• Partner with Employee Relations leadership, HR, Legal, Compliance, Security, Ethics, and other stakeholders on complex matters.
• Provide consultation and investigative guidance to HR Case Managers and other HR professionals.
• Conduct quality reviews or feedback on investigative plans, interview strategies, documentation, and reports.
