Weidmann Electrical Technology AG in Urbana, OH seeks an HR Business Partner to act as a Senior HR Leader, aligning HR strategies with manufacturing site goals. You will advise leadership, drive core HR processes, and oversee talent acquisition, development, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role in a matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of HR core processes including workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations.
• Proven ability to gain trust and drive organizational change.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance management and change management.
• Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with urgency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and familiarity with employment laws.

The role…

The HR Business Partner has a pivotal role as a Senior HR Leader in aligning human resources strategies with business goals, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership while overseeing the HR operations at a manufacturing site. Acting as a sparring partner for the site, you will bridge the gap between operational needs and HR services, driving core HR processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture that adheres to the company’s values. You will provide strategic guidance on talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and employee engagement, while also ensuring a positive, compliant, and productive work environment that supports the site’s operational success and overall business objectives.

How you’ll make an impact…

• Partner with site leadership and department heads to align HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives and organizational needs.
• Lead goal setting, annual salary reviews, workforce planning, succession planning, employee development, and career growth initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the site HR team while promoting collaboration, accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Advise and mediate employee relations issues, resolve workplace conflicts, ensure consistent application of company policies, and maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Implement performance management processes, coach managers on feedback and accountability, and guide employees and leaders through organizational changes.
• Develop innovative HR solutions, collaborate across the HR organization, share best practices, and conduct regular audits to ensure effective and compliant HR practices

What do you bring…

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, and/or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SPHR, HRCI) are a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive human resource experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role in a matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of HR core processes including, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations.
• Proven ability to gain trust and creditability with the workforce and to lead organizational change.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance management and change management.
• Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and drive data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
