NVIDIA is seeking a seasoned storage strategy engineer to bridge storage infrastructure with chip design workloads, focusing on EDA and HPC performance. You will evaluate storage tech, design POCs, and drive data placement decisions at datacenter scale, impacting engineering velocity.

You will lead telemetry improvements, collaborate across teams, and shape the storage roadmap for next‑gen compute and AI workloads. A hands‑on approach is essential in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience with large‑scale NFS and networked storage systems in Linux environments
• Hands‑on experience with at least one enterprise or HPC storage platform (NetApp, VAST, Pure, Lustre, GPFS, Ceph, Weka)
• Strong Linux systems skills and storage performance analysis — ability to characterize how storage behavior affects workload outcomes
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation and tooling
• Experience with cloud‑based storage solutions (GCP Filestore, NetApp Cloud Volumes, AWS FSx, or similar)
• Experience with observability and metrics collection systems — dashboards, telemetry pipelines, and alerting

Responsabilidades

• Lead storage technology evaluations — design and execute POCs for platforms like NetApp, VAST, and others using real EDA workload profiles
• Analyze how storage configurations impact EDA workloads and recommend tuning or architectural changes
• Identify gaps in storage telemetry and observability — define metrics and correlations with jobs
• Support datacenter lifecycle programs — expansions, refreshes, and site exits, mapping workload placement
• Define storage policies and best practices — data lifecycle, tiering, snapshot/clone workflows, capacity planning
• Collaborate with IT, EDA tool teams, and networking to translate workload requirements into storage architecture guidance
• Investigate storage-related production issues — characterize impact, causes, and preventive measures
• Contribute to NVIDIA’s storage strategy and roadmap for compute, AI workloads, and cloud‑hybrid infra
