Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Storage Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate storage platforms powering our EDA FARM, software, AI/ML teams, and engineering workflows at scale.

You will own the full lifecycle of multi‑vendor storage infra, build automation, pipelines, and self‑service tooling while driving IaC adoption and ensuring tight integration with CMDB, observability, and configuration management. This role reports to the storage leadership and offers hybrid work in the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on storage experience in large-scale production environments.
• Experience with at least three platforms from the NVIDIA stack: NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, Cloudian, DDN.
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols: NFS, SMB, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, S3, Lustre.
• Proven IaC experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python or Go with reusable tooling focus.
• Experience integrating storage with CMDB (ServiceNow, Nautobot, Cerebro) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Solid CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Git-based workflows.
• Ability to translate infrastructure needs into platform capabilities.
• MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of storage systems across NetApp, Pure Storage, Cloudian, and DDN.
• Define and enforce configuration standards, baselines, and runbooks across all platforms.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Ansible, Terraform) for provisioning and lifecycle operations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for storage configuration deployments.
• Develop integrations between storage platforms and CMDB, observability, and self‑service portals.
• Manage day‑2 operations: capacity planning, lifecycle management, performance tuning, RCA.
• Partner with chip design, software, research teams to deliver integrated storage solutions.
• Champion GitOps practices for storage.
