Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a mid‑career HPC Software/Workflow Engineer to join the Technical User Support team. You will port, optimize, and parallelize codes for a specific R&D customer, focusing on workflow, modeling and data requirements, with emphasis on scientific computing and HPC environments.

You will work with Chief Scientist and TUS team leads to design and implement solutions, perform benchmarking, and provide end-user support for login and workspace setup on RHEL/SE Linux HPC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of professional experience.
• ~5 years developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi‑platform environments.
• Experience with HPC users workflow for mod/sim problems and GUIs.
• Knowledge of HPC environment and related technologies.
• Proficiency with Bash and Korn shells.
• Linux operating system proficiency and ability to solve end‑user problems in a lab setting.
• Top Secret/SCI with CI poly required to start.

Responsibilities

• Port, optimize, and parallelize codes to user requirements.
• Collaborate with the TUS team, program Chief Scientist, and customers to design and implement HPC solutions.
• Perform system performance analysis through benchmarking and tuning libraries.
• Provide end-user support for login, thin-client access, workspace setup on RHEL/SE Linux HPC systems.
• Support modeling and simulation software environment setup for a production shared resource.
