Job summary

PsiQuantum in Palo Alto seeks an experienced Sr. HPC Engineer to design, develop, and optimize HPC software that leverages NVIDIA GPUs and AMD CPUs. You will work on distributed, multi-node systems and contribute to scalable HPC clusters powering large-scale workloads.

You will apply CUDA, MPI, and OpenMP to accelerate simulations, profile performance with Nsight/VTune, and collaborate with IT and scientists to ensure robust deployments. This role is full-time in the software engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, EE, Computational Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of HPC development with parallel and distributed computing.
• Proficiency in CUDA and NVIDIA HPC stack (cuDNN, NCCL, TensorRT).
• Strong MPI, OpenMP expertise and scalable systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HPC software leveraging NVIDIA GPUs and AMD CPUs.
• Optimize and scale HPC clusters for large workloads.
• Profile with Nsight, μProf, and VTune to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with scientists and IT to deploy scalable solutions.
• Document code and performance results for stakeholders.
