Job summary

Kaztronix in Littleton, CO is seeking a mid-career HPC Software Engineer to join the TUS team on a demanding R&D contract. You will port, optimize, and parallelize codes for HPC users and support their workflow, modeling, and data requirements on RHEL/SE Linux HPC systems.

The role requires a BS in a STEM field and strong experience with Fortran, C/C++, Python, scripting (BASH/Korn), and benchmarking. Some travel to client sites and a TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM field; strong mathematics/physics background.
• Experience developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi‑platform environments.
• Top Secret/Sci with poly clearance required.
• Experience with HPC users’ workflow for simulations and GUIs.
• Knowledge of HPC environments and related techs.
• Proficiency with Bash and Korn shell; ability to diagnose end-user computer issues independently.
• Experience with coding standards, unit tests, and configuration management.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Port, optimize, and parallelize user codes per customer requirements.
• Work on workflow, modeling, simulation, and data needs for a specific R&D customer.
• Benchmark, tune libraries, and analyze system performance on RHEL/SE Linux HPC systems.
• Provide end-user support for login, thin clients, and workflow environments.
• Collaborate with the TUS team lead and Chief Scientist to design solutions.
