Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking a Senior HPC Linux Software Engineer to join an on-site Technical User Support team within a High Performance Computing program. The role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph to start. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support HPC modeling and simulation capabilities.

The engineer will develop and maintain software in Linux environments, analyze and debug code, and deliver training workshops for HPC users and staff.

Qualifications

• Modeling and simulation software development in heterogeneous Linux environments.
• Experience in HPC environments and user workflow support.
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++ with shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support HPC users through modeling and simulation workflows on on-site Linux systems.
• Develop and maintain software in heterogeneous Linux environments.
• Analyze, debug, and maintain existing codebases.
• Apply software engineering best practices including requirements, design, coding, and testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and design training workshops for HPC users and staff.
• Lead code reviews and contribute to onboarding materials.
